Intro

The financial analytics page is part of your larger analytics suite, which all users get when they sign up to Apteo. It contains metrics on the following items:

  • Sales and orders over time

  • Basket metrics

  • Discount metrics

Sales and orders over time

At the top of the financial analytics page, you'll see a time series chart of sales over time. You can also click on the tab to get a time series of orders over time.

Basket metrics

Basket metrics contain information on the average customer's cart when they checkout. In this section you'll get three key items:

  1. Average Order Value: the average order value, including tax and tip, across all orders in your store in the timeframe selected at the top of the page

  2. Average Items Per Order: the average number of items in a basket across all orders in your store in the timeframe selected at the top of the page

  3. Orders With Multiple Items: the percentage of orders that contain more than 1 item in the timeframe selected at the top of the page

Discount metrics

In this section, you'll get key stats about how discounts are used in your store.

  • Average Discount Percent: this is the average discount percentage across all orders in your store in the timeframe selected at the top of the page, including orders where no discount was present (counted as a 0% discount for those orders)

  • Fraction Of Orders With A Discount: the percentage of orders that had a discount applied in the timeframe selected at the top of the page

  • Average Discount Amount: the average discount amount across all orders in your store in the timeframe selected at the top of the page, including orders where no discount was present (counted as a discount of $0 for those orders)

  • Top Discount Codes (By Count): a breakdown of the number of times your top discount codes were used in the timeframe selected
